He is a god, so is brilliant and powerful, although he wasn't worshiped as he wasn't liked, he in Greek or roman art.
The only reason for the one about the whole "no one likes him" is because his worshipers were afraid to show their faces. If Hades ever DID get mad at them then, um, well... let's just say, they would have no breath in them EVER again.....
