No one really knows what the answer is. there are all sorts of theories - some better than others, but the truth is that we can never say what actually happened. The popular theories keep changing all the time.
The more people look into the question, the more unanswered questions they find. Peoplle will say "this happened" and "that happened", but the truth is that they dont know what really happened, so they should say things like "I think this might have happened" instead.
tiny particle, which then exploded forming the universe
True
The big-bang theory because it is about an atom that exploded and made the whole universe.
The Big Bang BIG BANG was formed in 13.8 billion years ago when the universe began as a tiny, dense, fireball that exploded. Most astronomers use the Big Bang theory to explain how the universe began.
Nobody knows for certain what happened before the Big Bang exploded, or why it exploded when it did explode. Astronomers have determined much of what happened back to the Big Bang, but, Nobody knows anything, about what happened before the massive explosion that started the universe we live in now, and for the last billions of years. There are countless unanswered questions about the pre Big Bang universe that might never be answered.
We have glaxies because our universe exploded.
The big bang all the matter of the universe was compacted in a very small thingy and then it exploded and we have the universe

The most used expression is big bang.
There are a number of theories of how the earth was created. 1 God created the earth. 2 The earth was formed by a minute piece of matter that compressed so much it exploded creating our universe The BIG BANG Theory 3 God provided the material for the Big bang to Occur 4 "My own theory we are in a MultiVerse. Our Universe is surrounded by other distant Universes we cannot see. One of those other Universes had an occurrence or collision of planets or stars. This material shot through the MultiVerse into our present area and created a mass of various materials. That material compressed together and started the Big Bang which created our Universe; with Gods approval of course!" Roger Wolf
'Singularity' ; a moment when energy exploded and matter was created.
The big-bang theory because it is about an atom that exploded and made the whole universe.
I think your question should have been When instead of where. There are several theories. The Big Bang is perhaps the most popular theory. It consisits of an atom which exploded thus expanding slowly forming more matter than antimatter.Another theory is of parallel universes. Our universe is like a sheet of paper and is swinging adjuscent to our sister universe. At one point of time they come in contact with each other and that unleashes a tremendous amount of force which either annihlate one or creates a new one in the other.Another is a new theory which suggets that our universe is like a 3D Event horizon of a 4D black hole in a 4D universe. Its called hyperspace.
If Chuck Norris exploded there would be nothing left in the universe

Oxygen was created by fusion in the cores of stars and distributed through the universe when those stars exploded.
