It was one of the first so people just trust the drand name more.
An ipod in MY opinion. It is durable and comes in many different styles. Most other ones are crappy.
Most iPod hookups in cars will, indeed, attach to other MP3 or CD players.
There are some other brands of MP3 players still on the market such as the Sune from Microsoft. However, no other brands have ever had the popularity or performance and quality of the Apple iPod.
The Creative Zen players have better sound quality and better battery life.
No. But i-tunes sucks anyway; don't use it. It hijacks your MP3's and makes them impossible to use with other non-ipod mp3 players or software. Apple is an evil empire. Open architecture PCs forever.

Not exactly. An IPod is the Mp3 player that Apple makes. There are Mp3 players by other companies that are slightly less popular and often less expensive. And Also, mp3 players ONLY play mp3 files and sometimes mpg. Ipods are compatible with other files such as mp4...and so on. For example, if you wanted to put your music from a CD onto a mp3 you probably wouldn't be able to do it, without converting it..which costs money most of the time.
Have a look at the Iriver machines at www.iriver.com, it has never failed me!
An ipod is a very popular and high quality mp3 player. While mp3 players may be less expansive, you might not get the to notch quality of an ipod.
The JVCRVNB0B has an input for audio from an Ipod or other brands of MP3 players. anonymous@oola.com
I prefer Philips after owning two ipod mp3 players. Apple's batteries do not last long enough.
iPod is the brand name of MP3 players manufactured by Apple®. There are several other brands of MP3 players, including Archos, Samsung, SanDisk, Sony, and Zune. The current iPod models are classic, nano, shuffle and touch. Each iPod has different functionality and storage capacities. The main difference between iPod and other brands is that the default digital music software used to put music onto the iPod is the Apple iTunes store, while other MP3 players can use different music management software, such as Napster or the Zune Marketplace. It is possible to buy music from any service and transfer it to any player. I personally like mp3 players better because of the HUGE price difference! iPods are very, very expensive.
