I think Syrian hamsters - the large ones.
I have had 7 hamsters and the syrians have all been the most calm and relaxed in your hand as well as not biting.
I would advise against getting a dwarf Russian hamster or dwarf Chinese hamster because despite them looking cute they often bite and are very difficult to tame.
