a temperature sensor that detects when the car reaches a certain temperature before it overheats which kicks on the fan to cool the engine. the fan may not be grounded properly which causes the blowing of fuses to prevent a fire.
When it's running hot you should hear the cooling fan running, if not that is your problem. If the cooling fan does not operate check the fuses, cooling fan relay, cooling fan switch and cooling fan motor. One of them is at fault.
Check power source (wall outlet), check any fuses or cut-outs. Get an electrician.
The cause of this issue can be blown fuses in the car. If the fuses are not blown, there is a fault in the electrical system.
I own a 2000 with cooling fan probs check your coolant temp sensor, changed mine and cooling fans work perfect bhasche@yahoo.com
The main fuse box can be found in the engine compartment. The fuse box will be near the firewall on the drivers side.
Fuses don't operate anything, you do. fuses protect electrical circuits from overload
believe it is in power distribution box along with other relays and fuses. it is activated by the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Fuses are sized based on the max load they are intended to operate at.
check the fuses on top off the battery they may have blown..........or it may be a dodgy temp sensor....
There is a black rectangular box in the engine compartment, drivers side. On the underside of the cover is a diagram of all relays and fuses that will show you which is which.
I'm assuming you mean engine cooling fan but I'll tell you both, the engine cooling fan has two fuses located in the upper left hand side of fuse box in engine compartment, when i say upper left i mean when standing along side fender, fuse no 20 and 21, the heater fan fuses are in upper left side of fuse box behind cointray , this is on lower dash to left of steering column fuse 1 and 2, good luck
Cooling Fans Fuses & Relays are in the Lower Underhood Fuse Block, see page 5-99 of your "Owner's Manual", under Section 5: Service and Appearance Care - Electrical System - Fuses and Circuit Breakers.....
Check the relays and fuses.
Not directly. There are fuses for the engine computer and it is what turns the light on.Not directly. There are fuses for the engine computer and it is what turns the light on.
Here is the schematic diagram that shows the locations of the 2001, Ford Windstar fuses and circuit breakers,,in both the cabin (passenger compartment) and "under the hood" circuit panel boxes. (cooling fan relays,, separate high speed and low speed relays are located near the car's battery under the hood).http://ford.justanswer.com/uploads/eppic60/2007-04-15_192836_fuse_wind.pdfEngine Cooling Fan Fuses/Relays1995-1998 Engine compartment fusebox # B & H1999-2003 Engine compartment fusebox - Fuse #107 and relays #301 & 303
there should be fuses that operate the windows
