It could be,
the system was not properly refilled and it is air bound,
the thermostat is stuck closed,
a cracked head,
a blown head gasket.

on the back end of the fan, bolted to the motor. radiator, radiator shroud and fan has to come off to take it off
Drain the water from your Corvette radiator. Remove the radiator hoses. Remove the radiator stabilizing arm bolt. Remove the radiator retaining bolts. The radiator will come off.
Bottom of radiator on driver side. open radiator cap, and turn drain plug at bottom counter clockwise, you should see the water/coolant drain out. Once empty, place water hose on radiator and let it flush for a few minutes or till you see the water come out clear, shut off the water, let radiator drain, screw drain plug back in place and fill radiator with a mixture or 50/50 water/coolant.

the engine will overheat!for a start ,and the dash water temperature light will come on!there will be steam coming from the radiator...
When the thermostat is open the coolant will flow through the top radiator hose in to the radiator and out to the water pump through the bottom radiator hose
The 2 lines that come from the transmission and go to the radiator are full of transmission fluid and the radiator is what cools it.
take radiator cap off, make sure radiator is full, start the engine let it water circulate for awhile and then open radiator drain slightly just enough to get water and air to come out,drain is located under the radiator. Careful not to burn your hand.Turn off radiator drain and replace radiator cap.
Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1999 Cadillac Escalade radiator fan motor. Remove the radiator fan motor retaining bolts. The radiator fan will come off.
If you water it constantly, and dont over water it, it should come back.
