well, no one "should" wear makeup. but i am 13 and i wear mascara, lip gloss and occasionally eyeliner.
I think it really depends on what you're going to be doing. At thirteen you need soft, natural makeup when you go someplace like school or church, but I think you could wear either a few products or wear full makeup.
Now...if you're hanging out with your friends on a Saturday, wear as much as you want so long as it looks good on you.

Do not wear eyeliner or any dark eye makeup or lip stick. Girls our age need to look young not old and 16. We want to look light and fluffy, not harsh and dark.

∙ 12y agoI feel that make-up appropriate for a 12 year old can be anything they like as long as its okay with her mother- but, make-up damages the skin, causing spots, zits, blackheads and (if you don't take it off properly) panda eyes.

∙ 14y agoPersonally I think it is ok to wear make up at that age. Just don't wear too much. When you're that age your skin is pure and smooth. You will look trampy with too much on. If you are developing spots, and want to cover them up, only put on a little bit of foundation or something. You don't need piles of thick creams- only a dab will do.

I am a 12 year old girl and I have pretty much every type of makeup but I do not use foundation or concealer. And ALWAYS remove makeup...do NOT cake it on...it looks stupid on our age. Also, if you're going to wear it, learn how to apply it. No dolloping any old thing on your face...you have to learn how to use it. Try YouTube Beauty Guru tutorials. Be careful with the appropiateness (?) of the makeup. Don't load it on for a family BBQ - save it for the parties. ~ Lolli92

∙ 8y agoThe more natural the better for when you're eleven! I would just use some lip gloss, and if you want to do more than that, wear a neutral shade of eye shadow (brown, gold, bronze, ect) Just remember not to wear too much make up, it could end up looking weird or like you're trying to look older than you actually are! ∙ 12y agoIn my opinion, a 12 year old should wear a little mascara and pencil brown eyeliner and maybe a spot concealer but not to much. they should choose pale colours not dark Oranges or blacks

Most girls wear makeup at around the 13 year mark. Basically when they are in 7th grade. Just because most girls wear makeup at this age does NOT mean they are ready. Personally, I think makeup at that age is ridiculous. I think the age that most girls are ready for makeup is around 15 or when they are entering high school. Most girls lose a little self esteem when enetering high school, because everything is new and they aren't with all of the same people. It's hard. So many girls may where makeup as a confidence booster. So, I think that most girls should wear makeup at the age of late 14 or 15. Hope this helped :)

i don't see why not it kind of destroys the fact of being a kid and it kind of tells people that you are trying to be olderI know it's difficult not to be tempted to wear makeup as practically all the other girls at school do (I should know) but it gives you acne and many other skin complaints. However I do agree with the answer above how you can but really it's not going to make a difference to your life if you wear it or not.
