because of the goliad
Why I think the Goliad Massacre was fought is because... I think Santa Anna wanted Texas to give up so he kept sending people to fight the Texans. Why he kept sending people to fight the Texans is because he wanted them to lose so Texas would stay part of Mexico.
Showed determination i believe
The word Massacre means fight.
Most Texans fought with the Confederacy.

Total surprise. At the Battle of San Jacinto, General Santa Anna, the Mexican dictator, let his troops take a siesta because he believed that the Texans wouldn't attack until the morning. He was wrong. The Texans attacked in the middle of the Mexican troops' siesta.
