The 056 was made from the late 1970's to the mid 1980's.
That depends on the model! Most, but not all, are made (engineered) for the mechanic's sake. There are exceptions like the 015, 020, MS200, etc.
Usually "pot metal," or low-grade steel.
You are trying to force the chainsaw to perform a bigger job for which it is not designed, or the blade is dull (reason for black marks)
What is the part number of the sprocket of stihl 025 ?
You could use a knife, scissors, or a chainsaw, depending what material your circle is made from.
Usually "pot metal," or low-grade steel.
It stands for Anti-Vibration. I have two Stihl saws made in the 80's (an 015AV and an 034AVSuper). The 034 replaced a really old 041 without the AV, so I can attest that it really makes using the saws a lot more comfortable if you plan on using it for more than an hour or so at once. But then again, all the new Stihl saws have the AV now :o)

The origin is debated, but the first "chainsaw" was made around 1830 by the German orthopaedist Bernard Heine. Known as the osteotome the instrument was designed to remove diseased bones. The first chainsaws built for tree felling appeared around 1920-1930 with Andreas Stihl often being attributed as the father of modern chainsaws (although it is disputed to have been made by multiple other people)
1990
There are many strimmers that are as well made as Stihl strimmers. Some of the well made strimmers are Einhell, Homelite, Wolf, Flymo and Black & Decker.
