Well it's simple you cut/buy logs I'm guessing you'r level 1 Fire making. You will need to get some normal logs you can cut them at level 1 Wood Cutting and you need 1 Tinder box that you can buy at the general store for under 10gp. When you have a Tinder box and a full inventory of logs all you need to do is click the tinder box then click a log and you'r character will start to light the logs on fire and repeat that until you have used all logs

In china they were supposedly used to make coats that were fireproof (really made from asbestos). people got the idea that they were born from fire when they threw logs into a fire that a salamander happened to hybernating in (they would seem to be running out of the fire).
if you have ever made a campfire and used the special logs that make the fire turn different colours. well that is an example of chloride compounds they soak the logs in copper chloride Bariume chloride, etc... and because each different element in the compound has different colours in the light spectrum therefore it looks really cool in a fire.
