Is the other side getting cold air?
If so try this;(if not, read bottom answer)
This worked once for one of my customers Impala.
WARNING!
If your radio has anti theft code then make sure you have
the code to unlock the radio.
Disconnect battery for a few minutes and then reconnect.
If you don't have the radio code, bring car to dealer or repair shop
to get a code from the vehicle(not radio code)
The heater diagnostic code will start with a "B".
Example would be; B0248,B0268,B0408,B0428 ect...
Most dealers charge a flat rate to read the codes.
If you know someone at a regular repair shop they might do it
cheaper or free.
The code might give you a general idea of what the cost would be
to fix your car.
It could be that you need coolant or it's low.
Dealer only, about 20 bucks for both of them
A start would be to check this website regarding your heater switch. My mother has an impala and the cruise control green lamp would come on (cruise control was OFF) and the heater blower would only work on #5 and this was after the car operated for awhile and out of the blue I noticed it would turn on. I will be looking at swapping out the ignition switch, for a DIY and a $60 switch it beats the hrs of troubleshooting, I was told by her mechanic 3-5 hours worth with no possible solution. Also do a internet search on the above too, youu are not the only one with this issue. I hope this helps. http://www.carcomplaints.com/Chevrolet/Impala/2002/AC_heater/blower_fan_doesnt_work.shtml
A thermostat is only $7-20 depending on the name brand.
what year impala are you working on? 95 Chevy impala im trying to find out could i put 2004 door panels on it or what door panels can i change it with because its hard to find 95 door panels The only door panels that will fit a 95 impala are from the same year or of the same body style impala, 2004 I don't believe is the same body style.
If the coolant level is okay, I would suspect a restricted heater core. Try flushing the heater core.
Because the other one is damaged. Usually water damage.
Bad blower resistor?
Your A/C needs recharged.
Water pump not circulating coolant? Heater core partially restricted?
Only if the coolant is leaking from the heater core, but you will see this.
Only if if has a leak.
