In the USA the method by some States is lethal injection and In other States like Texas the method is Hanging....Previously in the US there has been the gas chamber,the electric chair,and in the military a firing squad which is still legal even today but has not been used for several decades...

Added: At least one or two states (Utah is one) STILL give the condemned an option of death by firing squad if they so choose.
