How are oceans different from ponds?

a pond can be man-made or natural... a pond is usually used for animals, fishing, or just there for looks. a pond Is a Microscopic version of a Lake, and a Lake is a Microscopic version of an ocean. there is around 70% water on this earth and around 30% land. a Pond usually has Fresh Water in it... while the Ocean has Salt Water. a Pond Is Usually Decently Shallow... While the Ocean is definitely not Shallow. these are just a few examples.
