ignition control module, the electronic coil. check to make sure that the coil wire is not dead.
Bad coil, Bad damaged or unplugged crank/cam position sensor, bad rotor, distributer cap, faulty distributer, plugs wires
i had eight blinks on my crx, i had to get a new distributer, try replacing the distributer with a new one,as the tdc crank sensor is located in the distributer. if the problem still occures something might be up with the ignition system, check spark plugs, plug order etc.
To answer this question it would be helpful to have more information for example if your vehicle is older with high miles a worn out distributer can cause this problem
I'm having the same problem. It's probably the pick-up sender in the distributer or the ignition module. Hope this helps you!
distributer cap, low octane gas, or spark plugs i would do the distributer cap first.
The spark plugs are located right under the exhaust manifolds of both sides of the engine. You should just follow the spark plugs wire from the distributer.
Pull them off of the spark plugs and distributer cap. . .
if you are talking bout spark plugs, they are located in the side of the engine just follow the plug leads from distributer to the other end.
I have a daewoo matiz that has low power when the engine light comes on I have changed the spark plugs/leads/distributer cap/distributer/and coil checked the timing changed the fuel filter air filter and it still looses power when the engine light comes on. You have spent a lot of money and you still have the problem. Do you not think it might be time to take it to an expert and have it repaired correctly. You would've been money ahead right at this moment.
Because when you turn the igniton switch to run it heats up the coil which then in turn goes to the distributer and from the distributer to the spark plugs.
Try to see if distributer cap is clean. Also if your Van does not run properly after starting it is probably a problem with one of the injectors.
the ignition module is on the distributer(the thing all the spark plugs wires go to)
