What might be the problem with your 1988 gmc jimmy it turns over and has fuel flow but no spark to plugs put on new coil distributer and cap but still no spark?

ignition control module, the electronic coil. check to make sure that the coil wire is not dead.

i had eight blinks on my crx, i had to get a new distributer, try replacing the distributer with a new one,as the tdc crank sensor is located in the distributer. if the problem still occures something might be up with the ignition system, check spark plugs, plug order etc.

Because when you turn the igniton switch to run it heats up the coil which then in turn goes to the distributer and from the distributer to the spark plugs.
