Yes. JROTC has no effect what so ever on what branch you join when you get to College ROTC than it might dictate what branch you join but only if you are going to a military academy like the naval academy or westpoint.

It is possible to join the military with a felony, but acceptance is at the discretion of the military branch based on the nature and severity of the offense. Having a felony on your record does not automatically disqualify you. As for having it removed, that would depend on the laws of the state where the offense occurred and the specific circumstances of the case.
They joined the BEST branch of the military, The United States Marine Corps. (I am not biased or anything having a daughter in the USMC and a husband too.)
