Hard water contain calcium bicarbonate, magnesium bicarbonate in temporary hard water and calcium/magnesium sulfate in permanent hard water.
Soft water contain doesn't contain these substances or only in very limited concentations.
because pure gold is soft they put other minerals in it to make it hard
soft
The alkaline water is a hard water - otherwise it is soft
i think its hard
Hard water is the one that does not lather with soap. Permanent hard water can be converted to soft water by adding sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), or calgon or zeolite.
Soft or hard water has to do with the amount of dissolved minerals in water and what those minerals are. "Harder" water has more dissolved minerals (like calcium.)
Mineral content. more minerals means hard
rain water soft whilst falling, when it hits the ground or into rivers it mixes minerals etc which in in turn turn it hard some area like devon it stay soft
Rainwater is naturally soft but can be hardened when it has picks up calcium and magnesium which are the essential minerals in hard water.
the difference is that soft water contains no dissolved minerals.the hard water contains dissolved minerals
hard water can be converted to soft water by boiling, filteration etc.
Hard water has more calcium than soft water does
This can be a problem if you have very "soft" water. Water "hardness" or "softness" is determined by the amount and types of minerals dissolved in the water. In areas with "hard" water, many people purchase "water softeners" which remove some minerals and replace them with others.
it is soft water
because pure gold is soft they put other minerals in it to make it hard
It depends on the source of the water. Some regions have a lot of minerals and sediment. Others are largely setiment free.
Manhattan and all New York City supplied water comes from reservoirs filled by rain water and is considered soft. Hard water contains minerals such as calcium and magnesium carbonates usually leached by water percolating (moving through) underground limestone and chalk deposits and retrieved from wells.
