The czar changed his orders, ordering for a full mobilization on July 29, 1914. The Germans reacted quickly, notifying the Russians that they must stop their mobilization within 12 hours. Germany called a two-front war with France and Russia. On August 4th, Great Britain declared war on Germany for violation of the neutrality of Belgium.
