It depends on which model. Ford Fusion/MercuryMilan are made in Mexico, Crown Vic/Mercury Grand Marquis are made in Canada. Focus, Mustang, F-series trucks and Taurus are made in US. Ford also builds some cars in Europe, but those are for the European market (so far).
The most popular light weight model of trucks sold in the US were by and large the Ford F series. Certain Chevrolet trucks however were next most popular.
Chevy outsold Ford by 126 cars in 1957 if you include the Corvette. Chevy trailed Ford in model-year output by 170,000 when all model cars & trucks are counted.

Ford; however the US Company was not behind the production. The Ford factory in Germany was operated by Germans, and they continued to build trucks at the factory after the war started.
Well, Ford, Gm and other American brands are made in the US, however there are still car manufacturing plants for such American companies located in Ontario because it is cheaper for the companies as they do not have to pay for each worker's healthcare in Canada.
