If you are asking for BRAND, almost anything available is usable. Conventional oils will vary on life between changes (cheap oil=shorter interval). Synthetic oils can be used longer (like 15000 miles for AmsOil). I change at 5000 per Ford specs using Motorcraft or Rotella 15W40 conventional in a '99 7.3l diesel.
If you're asking for viscosity it will depend on your engine, climate, and driving habits.
