Ice Mountain.
Yes, West Virginia is mountainous. It's even nicknamed "The Mountain State."
Because Alaska is closer to the North Pole, and because the higher the elevation, the colder it is, there is snow on the mountain peaks even during the summer. I used to live in Alaska, so I know a little bit about it.
by studying their enviornment, wearing the right clothing in/for the winter and summer, and even the way they eat.
There isn't really any mountains, because mountains have to be at least 5,000 ft, and the tallest "mountain" in WV is around 4,800 ft... So if you want to be technical, there are only really big hills in West Virginia.
High mountain ranges have short summers due to their high elevation, which results in colder temperatures. The high altitude causes the air to be less dense, leading to cooler temperatures even during the summer months. Additionally, the steep slopes of mountain ranges can block sunlight, further limiting the length and intensity of the summer season.
Mostly cold. It might even go up to the 70 F to 80 F during the summer.
The highest mountain in Missouri is Taum Sauk Mountain. Its summit is 1772 feet above Mean Sea Level. However, the "tallest" mountain in Missouri is Black Mountain. From the base of Taum Sauk Mountain to its summit, there is a rise of about 700 feet in elevation. However, Taum Sauk rises from an already elevated plain. The elevation at the base of Black Mountain, along the St. Francis River, is about 540 feet above Mean Sea Level, and the summit is 1,502 feet. So, even though the peak of Black Mountain is not as high above sea level as Taum Sauk, Black Mountain rises almost 1,000 feet from its base. Taum Sauk is the highest mountain in Missouri. Black Mountain is the tallest.
The higher the altitude the lower is the temperature so much so that fallen snow will not melt even in summer.
Base camp is used as a set off point to climb a high mountain such as Mount Everest. It is here where the climber gets his rest, enjoys basic living and even fresh foods.
you could drive to Snowshoe in WV. i love that mountain so much. it's almost as good as the place my family has in canada. other options are winterplace, or sugar, or even beech
Mount Everest is the highest mountain above sea level, while Mauna Kea in Hawaii is the tallest when measured from base to summit, even though most of it is below sea level.
Denmark is always cool even in the summer!
