Water moves in and out of cells by osmosis, and in osmosis water always moves into the stronger solution. By "stronger" is meant having the higher solute concentration.

Water will move from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration, so if cell has a higher concentration than the fluid in beaker, it will move out. If beaker is higher than cell, water will move in.
