An eclipse is formed by the blockage of the sun by a certain object- (such as the Earth and moon.) A solar eclipse is when the moon blocks the sun from Earth, and a lunar eclipse is when the earth blocks the sun from the moon- (giving a shadow).
A lunar eclips is created by the moon going right behind the earth and scince the earth blocks the sun the moon has no ligtht to reflect. A solar eclipse is created when the moon goes in front of the sen and blocks out the light from the sun

A partial eclipse occurs when the Earth and the Moon don't QUITE line up exactly with the Sun. Partial lunar eclipses are easily visible because a piece of the full Moon moves into the Earth's shadow.

Partial solar eclipses aren't as easy to see, since the difference between full sunlight and half-sunlight really isn't noticeable.

It depends on which type of eclipse it is. In a solar eclipse, the Moon comes between the Earth and the Sun. Since the Sun is much farther away from Earth than the Moon is, it blocks out any light coming from the Sun. In a lunar eclipse, the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, casting a "shadow" onto the Moon. Since the Moon requires light from the Sun to be able to be seen from Earth, the Moon cannot be seen from Earth during a lunar eclipse.

a lunar eclipse is caused by the moon passing directly through the Earth's shadow during the full moon phase. Due to an eccentricity with the moon's orbit, a total lunar eclipsedoes not occur at each full moon.

Lunar eclipses are caused when the Moon is "behind" the Earth, that is the Earth blocks the sunlight from reaching it. Moons and planets shine by reflecting sunlight.

The eclipse can only happen during a full moon, when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are in a direct line. Some sunlight passes through the Earth's atmosphere, giving the Moon a dark red color.

The Moon is visible to us because of the Sun's rays hitting the Moon's surface and reflecting back to us. The Earth orbits the Sun and the Moon orbits the Earth. An eclipse of the Moon (also known as a lunar eclipse) is where the Moon passes behind the Earth and the Earth comes between the Moon and the Sun's light.

one partial way an eclipse is formesHOW IS A LUNAR ECLIPSE FORMED?A lunar eclipse is formed when the Earth (our homeland)comes in between the Sun and the Moon. The Earth blocks the light from the Sun which was supposedly had to reach the moon. Then a region (on earth)will observe the moon that has not much of light.

The lunar eclipse occurs when earth passes between the sun and moon. Earth's shadow blots out the full moon light reflected from the sun.

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes directly between the earth and sun. When the moon is closer to apogee, an annular eclipse occurs, where the sun can be seen around the edge of the moon. When the moon is sufficiently close to perigee, a total eclipse occurs.

Solar eclipses can only happen during a "new" moon, obviously.

Sometimes , the Moon, the Sun and the Earth lie ina straight line with the Moon in between the Sun and the Earth. The Moon blocks the sunlight reaching the Earth. It casts it's shadow on the Earth and for a while , people in certain parts of the Earth can't see the Sun at all , or just partially . This is known as Solar Eclipe.
