Pope Pius X - as Pope, Joseph Melchiorre Sarto, was very much a traditionalist and sort to retrench from the modernist trends in Catholic doctrine in the early 20th century. After his death he was canonised as Saint Pius X - his feast day was originally set as September 3 before being moved by Pope John Paul II.
From a very early age he wanted to become a priest. When he was only five years of age he was part of a group of school children sent to greet a cardinal who was visiting his home time. Joseph (the future pope) was quite taken by the vestments of the cardinal and told his parents that he "wanted to become a cardinal" when he grew up. He never lost that dream.
Many stories in the Bible, especially in the Old Testament, show us we need God in our lives. Maybe the story of Joseph is a good one. In Genesis chapters 30 - 50 you can read about Joseph. Joseph was sold by his brothers and taken to Egypt to be a slave. But God was with him and God made Joseph prosper in spite of the circumstances Joseph found himself in. Joseph became second in charge over all of Egypt
Jacob's son, Joseph, who was sold to a traveling caravan, by Joseph's conniving brothers , was taken to Egypt. Joseph had the God-given gift to interpret dreams. He was the only person around who could interpret the Egyptian Pharoh's dreams, and, later became part of the noble court. He prospered, and Hebrews later immigrated there.
Confucius was taken seriously. His ideas became a religion!
Yes. This was part of God's plan for Joseph.Joseph was sold and taken to Egypt. He became a slave in Poiphars hous. Joseph was put in jail. Joseph was taken out of jail. Joseph was put in charge of all Egypt.Through these events God prepared the way for Joseph's family to come to Egypt during a famine. This is what Joseph said to his brothers when they met years after his brothers sold him as a slave:Gen 50:20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.Answer:God has a purpose for everything.1) In Potiphar's house, joseph gained experience in leadership (he became the head over all the other servants), which later served him well as viceroy of Egypt.2) He was tested by Potiphar's wife (Genesis ch.39) and came out of it spiritually unscathed. this was part of the reason why God saw fit to later raise him to greatness.
It was Poitphar the captain of Pharoah's guard. Genesis 39:1 Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there.
NO. As soon as Jesus was taken down from the Cross, He was taken to a tomb that Joseph Arimathea already owned. Christ was buried in that tomb.
