Taking interest in art has nothing to do with one`s nationality. It varies from one individual to the next. The same goes for music, culture, science and everything else that interests human kind.
i am almost positive that the answer to this question varies from person to person, but generally, i would say that the persons interest would become more refined, and, based on that person's experience with other people and their reactions to the art in question or their experience with the art itself, would become either more general, accepting a wide variety of artistic styles, or, more specific.

depends on the person not the art. Personally i feel tai chi is a more complete fighting style. It takes much longer to learn tho. Tai Chi is more a grappling art.

No would consider it more of an art then a sport, although Im sure it takes a bit of athleticism --- And personally I agree that it is an art, but it certainly does involve 'athleticism'. :)
