their 3g is a cdma standard. their 4g is a WiMAX standard though they will soon be switching to LTE (project leapfrog)
Only other CDMA networks (Not AT@T, not T-Mobile)
No. You can buy an unlocked phone that is the same model and use it for another network but typically a Sprint phone will only work with Sprint and vise versa.
If the old phone is supported by the network that Sprint has set up then you would be able to transfer your old phone and use it on the Sprint network, otherwise you will need to buy a brand new phone that is supported.
You cannot connect your Sprint phone to any other carrier network unfortunately. Nextel/Sprint or the only companies available. If you wish to use another carrier, you will need to buy a new phone.
yes
One carrier that leases the Sprint tower network is Helio. In the United States Virgin Mobile also accesses the Sprint network. These are currently the two cellular providers piggy back ridding off of Sprint Nextel.
No. Cingular/AT&T use the GSM network and Sprint uses CDMA. A Verizon phone could be used with a Sprint plan but Verizon customer service will have to give an unlock code.
No Sprint is a CDMA network. AT&T is a GSM network. Only GSM networks use simcards. Other wise though you can switch sim cards between GSM networks if your phone is unlocked.
No, because Sprint uses CDMA and AT&T use GSM. America is one of the few countries with a large CDMA presence, every where else uses GSM. Telstra, in Australia closed their CDMA network down, and replaced it with their Next G network, which is GSM.
well theres a guy on the internet who was curious about a sidekick for sprint and then he saw a person with a phone that looked like the sidekick 3. so he asked the person what network it was and it was a SPRINT network.
No. Because Sprint is CDMA and T-Mobile is GSM. Sprint = No SIM. T-Mobile = SIM.
Sprint is a value cell phone provider. They have a good network (not the best) and offer you a lot for your money.
No you cannot. AT&T is a GSM network and Verizon is CDMA. They use different equipment. You can use a Verizon phone on Sprint though.
