Lettuce and other leafy green vegetables are mostly water. They contain phytochemicals, enzymes and a spectrum of minerals depending on the ground that they are grown in. A mineral rich ground will help the plants grow healthy and large and bug resistant. Bugs are GOOD! they are they to destroy crops that aren't healthy for human consumption! The Hunza people near Pakistan have very mineral rich water flowing from mountains that they use to water their crops. The crops are naturally bug and disease resistant. The Hunza people regularly live over 100 in perfect health. Grass is also a good test. Look at how fat cows/ cattle are. Skinny cows are in need of mineral rich grass that they don't get (it might LOOK heathy and green). Would you rather eat food from mineral rich soils or food that is sprayed with chemicals that have a skull and crossbones on the label.... good resource is sea energy agriculture or ocean grown if you want to read more
