Best Answer

The air resistance on any object depends upon 2 factors these are:

  1. Surface area of the object i.e;the more the surface area the more will be the air resistence as most of the air is comming in contact with the body of the surface and thus more resistant is the body to the air.
  2. Secondly, the speed at which the object is moving i.e:the more the speed the greater will be the air resistance exerted on an object.

Does aluminum have a high air resistance?

Air resistance depends mainly on an object's shape, not so much on the material.

What is high air resistance?

Air resistance is a friction force, the flow of air over a surface will cause friction and produce drag. Thanks

When an object falls through the air encounters air resistance its overall speed will be than if it had not encountered air resistance?

The resistance do obstruct the object. The object always travel slower with air resistance. Air resistance is higher with velocity and the object falling through air would have a limited velocity that it can't go through.

What features of an object will affect air resistance?

the amount of air resistance on an object depends on the size, shape, and speed of the object. Air resistance is the force that opposes the motion of objects through air.

What force slows objects moving through the air?

Air resistance

Does plastic have a high air resistance?

Air resistance is a function of area, not materials. However, a lighter plastic object will fall more slowly than a heavier metal object with the same surface area.

How does air resistance affect the acceleration of falling objects?

As a falling object accelerates through air, its speed increases and air resistance increases. While gravity pulls the object down, we find that air resistance is trying to limit the object's speed. Air resistance reduces the acceleration of a falling object. It would accelerate faster if it was falling in a vacuum.

What is air resistance affected by?

Air resistance is affected by surface area and Shape

What is the resistance that occurs when when an object rolls?

Gravity continually pulls an object down, creating friction as an object moves along a surface, and air itself creates resistance, known as air resistance.

How does air resistance affect the acceleration of a falling object-How does air resistance affect the acceleration of a falling object?

It reduces the acceleration of the falling object due to friction.

What is the deffanition of air resistance?

Air resistance is air itself slowing down an object travelling through it.
