When the Sun, Moon and Earth are roughly lined up, there are higher-than-average "spring" tides in Earth's oceans. When the Sun, Moon and Earth are at right angles, they cause "neap" tides which are lower than average.

We live in a disc shaped galaxy with a black hole at the center and our sun revolves around that black hole, Earth around the sun and the moon around Earth. Since there is always a straight line connecting two points in space we know there's always a line connecting the black hole and sun so the question is how often do the Earth and moon fall on that line. There's 360 degrees in a circle and 365 days in a year so the Earth travels roughly 1 degree per day so the Earth would be within one degree of that line four days per year, two days in between the sun and black hole and two days on the opposing side. So then all that remains is to divide the 28 days it takes the moon to revolve around the Earth by the 4 days per year the Earth, sun and black hole are in line and you find that this phenomena happens on average once every seven years. Presuming you're older than seven you've already experienced without realizing it at least once. So, the short answer is that these four galactic bodies lining up is really nothing extraordinary.

Does a spring tide happen when the sun and moon are in line?

Yes, a straight line (180 degree angle). A neap tide is when the moon, Earth, and sun make a 90 degree angle.

Nothing happens

What is the moon has moved eastward in its orbit from the new phase and forms a 90 degree angle with the sun and earth and the moon appears half bright and half dark?

The moon has moved eastward in its orbit from the new moon phase and forms a 90 angle with the sun and earth, and the moon appears half bright and half dark.

What is the position of the moon in a neap tide?

It forms a 90 degree angle on a line drawn form the sun to the center of the Earth.

When the earth is between the moon and the sun occurs?

When the earth is between the moon and the sun, a full moon occurs. In the less common instance when the Earth is between the moon and the sun and all three are in line, a lunar eclipse occurs.

What is the degree angle width of the moon as seen from earth?

0.52 degrees, on average. Roughly the same size as the sun. Source: Wikipedia

What occurs when the sun moon earth are in a line shadow?

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth.

Why does the earth have such a large angle of rotation?

Earth's 23 degree tilt is likely the result of a major impact very early in the planet's history, which resulted in the formation of our moon.

How are full moons made?

A full moon occurs when the moon is at an angle which allows the entire area facing the observer to reflect sunlight. All other phases occur because the earth is casting a shadow on the moon.
