The most important and tiny species is the Penguin.
I have heard that many of them are in serious trouble, including:
Polar bears - considered an aquatic species
Dolphins - they get caught in fishing nets
Whales - are still being hunted and killed despite new laws
Manatees - they get run over by motor boat propellers
Salmon - loss of spawning habitat
Most all commercial fish - like tuna, etc., from over-fishing

Would like to add that Sea lions and Sharks are also at a higher risk.
Addition; !9 of the 22 spicies of Albatross are endangered because of fishing boats and floating plastic refuse. The Amsterdam Albatross has less than 24 breeding pairs left. They only produce 1 egg every 2 years.

∙ 9y agoUnfortunately there are a lot of endangered animals all over the planet. Some of the endangered marine creatures include: the Florida Manatee, the Blue Whale, the Hammerhead Shark, and the Hawksbill Turtle.
