The most important and tiny species is the Penguin.
I have heard that many of them are in serious trouble, including:
Polar bears - considered an aquatic species
Dolphins - they get caught in fishing nets
Whales - are still being hunted and killed despite new laws
Manatees - they get run over by motor boat propellers
Salmon - loss of spawning habitat
Most all commercial fish - like tuna, etc., from over-fishing
Additional Info:
Would like to add that Sea lions and Sharks are also at a higher risk.
Addition; !9 of the 22 spicies of Albatross are endangered because of fishing boats and floating plastic refuse. The Amsterdam Albatross has less than 24 breeding pairs left. They only produce 1 egg every 2 years.
Unfortunately there are a lot of endangered animals all over the planet. Some of the endangered marine creatures include: the Florida Manatee, the Blue Whale, the Hammerhead Shark, and the Hawksbill Turtle.
Well there are few ocean animals that are almost extinct but they are also called threatened.
They are the dolphins, sharks, whales, and green sea turtles.
Manatees, Whales, Sharks are some examples.

First of all, what animal is it? But anyway whatever animal it is, people are shooting it or killing it. If its a water animal that lives in the ocean, maybe the pollution in the sea or lake is floating and they think it is a play toy and they eat it. Its hard to explain if you don't have what kind of animal it is. Really everthing is going extinct in this world.
they are becoming extinct because humans have used them for animal trade
Bobcats are becoming extinct because of elligle hunting.
If an animal is endangered, it is in danger of becoming extinct.
Yes if course they can, any species whether plant or animal can faces the risk of becoming extinct.
The Eustis High School panthers arn't becoming extinct... ...the animal, because we hunt them.
i really dont know ..........I thought it was an animal not a plant.
What this means is that the animal is at risk of becoming endangered or extinct.
so the government can make it a law which would protect that animal from becoming completely extinct.
When an animal is in danger of becoming extinct there are several things people can do to overcome this. One way is to educate people on the danger the animal faces because it may encourage them to support conservation efforts.
