Good question. Guys of course want to be seen as macho and a beast if you will. They don't want to be shown up in front of the people they like. It seems like this guy either does like you or he's just one of those guys who are constantly acting tough. That's for you to decide.

If he acts like he likes you, and doesn't admit it, it's probably just denial. They just dont want you knowing that they like you. I know this guy that acts like he likes me, but totally denys it.
