An orange is really only alive while it is on the tree and growing. Once it comes off the tree, in the same year it began, it is no longer said to be living. An orange tree can live as long as 100 years, and will produce fruit for much of that time.

The vast majority of Russians were peasant farmers barely staying alive on what they grew on the small plots of land they worked for the people who owned the land. Until 1861 they were serfs, bound to the land owned by the nobles and unable to move elsewhere to better themselves. Once serfdom was abolished they were still bound to the land for about 49 years after their "freedom" because they had to pay the nobles for the land the government took from them and gave to the peasants. This low standard of living was one of the major causes of the Russian Revolution.
Soap is manufactured by humans. It was not alive, but parts of it come from living things.
most of them are actually made of metal, cloth, rubber, leather and plastic Under non-living things, there are two groups: 1) Once Alive 2) Never Alive Once alive are things that are from alive things such as the skin of the snake used to make a handbag. The snake skin is a non-living thing but it was classified under once alive. Never alive are things such as some diamonds, minerals that are extracted from the ground. They are not alive, not even from where they are extracted. That is never alive.
Biology is the study of living things, not non-living.
Fossil fuels come from once living things.

Properly speaking, dead things are formerly living things. It's sometimes used figuratively to mean something which has never been and could never be alive, but usually it implies that the thing referred to used to be alive but no longer is.
Dead things are those who were once alive. Nonliving thing were never alive (ex. rock, viruses...) Living things are made up of units called cells, reproduce, are based on a universal genetic code (DNA & RNA), grow and develop, obtain and use materials and energy, respond to the environment, maintain a stable internal environmet and taken as a group, living things change over time.
because they are a part of a human and humans are living things. all cells that make up living things are living. actually, all cells are living, or at least once were alive.
Yes they are still living. The logs in my house still have stuff growing from it. As well as our house that has logs and wood posts still have maple sap oozing from it and it's been 18 years since the house was built.
Actually i also dunno. But raffly they are group according to the materials they are made of or once alive, never alive.

I believe they are biotic. Biotic means that it is living or once was living. Abiotic means never alive. Fossil fuels are compressed plants, and plants are living things.
