Why do you try to find new sources of energy?

You try to find new sources of energy so that if one day, the source of energy we use runs out, we will have an alternative. Also, some of the energy we use today has a bad effect to our environment and if people find new sources of energy that are possibly better than what we use currently, we will be saving the earth and using less cost if the new source of energy is cheap.

Which of these is a factor in the U.S. need to find alternative energy sources?

finite oil reserves and an expanding market for oil

Why do you Need to find alternative Energy Sources?

Other sources of energy besides hydrocarbon fossil fuels are important because of several of reasons:# Time: Petroleum/Oil takes a very long time for nature to produce, thousands to millions of years.# Pollution: Hydrocarbons under perfect conditions would break down into C02 and H20, but we don't live in perfect conditions; hydrocarbons are only partially burned leaving smaller hydrocarbons in our air like Methane CH4 or Propane C2H6 and even Nitrous Oxide NO2, which are damaging to the air we breath and the life cycle of plants.# Carbon Dioxide: Even if combustion were perfect, the amounts of CO2 we pump into the air from our factories and cars is phenomenal and we are changing the environment of our world as we speak, not for the better.# Limited amounts: there is only so much oil and gas in the world, it will run out sometime.

Why is the US trying to find different sources of energy?

We are going to completely run out of fossil fuels by 2050. That's less then 40 years to find a replacement for gas, a fossil fuel that has become a staple in the daily function of human life.

What is solar renewable energy?

Renewable energy is an energy source that is either in relatively limitless supply, or that quickly regenerates when consumed. So solar, wind and water power are kinds of renewable energy, because they keep coming back even after we've used them.Coal and oil are NON renewable sources of energy, because when they're gone, they're gone.Renewable energy is found in abundance and we must make use of these resources such as solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal to the best advantage. For instance wind energy must be tapped to generate electricity.Renewable energy is any source of energy which can be used or consumed without going into the state of being unusable. Examples of nonrenewable energy sources would be petroleum, natural gas, coal, etc. You will find that everyday fossil fuels are nonrenewable sources of energy. Some examples of renewable energy would be; solar energy, hydro energy, heat energy, heat from friction, etc."A source of energy that is not expected to deplete through constant use or can be replaced or grown within a relatively short period of time."The definition of renewable energy is a resource that you can take and give back,(ex. trees, plants, animals, vegetables.By the name itself it has the definition involved i.e., the source of energy that is renewable is called as the renewable energy.... this is other wise called as the non conventional energy because we have replaced the conventional sources of energy ( like coal, oil, fossilfuel etc.,) to the non conventional source of energy( like solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, tidal, wave, peizo, mhd's etc.,)Energy, of itsself, is never renewable. It always degrades towards hbeing low level heat (entropy). There are however renewable energy sources. In general, renewable energy is identified as the energy that comes from sources that can be replenished or those that cannot be depleted. Such sources include wind, rain, tides, sunlight, waves and geothermal energy.Renewable energy is generally defined as energy that comes from resources which are naturally replenished on a human timescale, such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat

How can you overcome the disadvantages of coal?

You can't overcome them! The main disadvantage of coal is that it is a non-renewable fossil fuel. Therefore it will run out in the future. We need to find viable alternative energy sources.

What are exhaustable sources?

Exhaustible sources are natural resources that can be depleted over time, such as fossil fuels (oil, coal, natural gas) and minerals. These sources are finite and not easily replenished at the rate they are consumed, leading to potential scarcity and environmental impacts when exhausted. It is important to find alternative, sustainable sources of energy to reduce reliance on exhaustible sources.

Why is it important use alternative energy sources?

Alternative to what ? IF you are referring to oil based fuels, THEN the answer is that the supply of oil is finite, but demand for it is not. The supply of solar energy is constant and infinite. Having solar panels on the roof of every home would save an unbelievable amount of natural resources and eliminate a lot of the polution caused by burning fossil fuels and also save the consumers a lot of money on their electric bills.

What are the ways to make sure there will be enough energy for the future?

In the most general terms, that would be: (1) Find new energy sources or make better use of the existing energy sources; and (2) Use less energy.
