They are usually discouraged. Most businesses have enough customers, so that if only a few people boycott a store or business, the store will usually find new customers. Boycotting a product rarely works, and most businesses can find new customers. Most boycotters find out, that they are not as important to a business as they think they are, and they usually wind up discouraged. Boycotting a store or business, unless you have a lot of people who join the boycott, is usually just a waste of time.
