wrong oil filter , bad oil filter gasket
no! use only motorcycle oil. automotive oil will not protect the clutch on a motorcycle and synthetic oils for cars are not designed to protect the clutch either.
The oil filter is located behind a circular cover in the lower front center of the engine. This picture may help: http://www.bikebandit.com/suzuki-motorcycle-gs500ek-1989-oil-filter-oil-pump/o/m6049sch236925

There is not one. Harley Filters are made better than Fram Filters. You might consider Purolater motorcycle filters or a motorcycle filter made by Champion. Do not use an automobile filter on a motorcycle. They are made for oil pumps that have higher pressures. Try the Fram PH6065B

Sounds like you make have blown a gasket.

The oil filter for the Kymco Venox is part of the motorcycle and travels with the motorcycle when in motion. In other words, it is affixed to the bike itself. It is inadvisable to leave the oil filter at home when traveling on the motorcycle. To change your oil filter, remove oil drain plug, drain oil into an oil pan, clean and replace oil drain plug, then remove oil filter, pour a drop of clean oil onto a new oil filter, and lube gasket, then replace the old oil filter with the new oil filter. Finally, add clean oil to the motorcycle until the oil level window shows oil in the middle of the viewing window when the bike is upright. ################### UPDATE: While all of the above is correct, and quite astute, it does not answer the actual question which pertains to the location of the oil filter. The owners manual is lacking in detail, however, it does offer a hint, suggesting that you "lift" the bike. The oil filter is underneath the bike in the front where the large square gray oil pan is located. There are two bolts. One is surrounded by a large circle which is about the size of your new oil filter. Remove the bolt and there will be a small washer, then the circular metal plate which cups the oil filter. This has a gasket which seals against leaks, and inside of the cupped metal plate is the oil filter. Remove, replace, and reinstall the parts in the same order. Best of luck. SKH
The CB250 Nighthawk motorcycle has an engine capacity of 3 quarts of 10W40 motor oil. The recommended filter is the KN 111 filter.
Obviously, like other motorcycles Suzuki requires maintenance as well, change oil filter as well on every engine oil change.
