I was looking at the 2001 Ford Windstar Owner Guide and it shows : With engine oil filter change : ( 5.44 liters of 5W-20 ) * but the 2002 and 2003 Ford Windstar Owner Guides show 4.7 liters of 5W-20 is used *
According to the 2001 Ford Windstar Owner Guide : ( Motorcraft MERCON-V is used in the automatic transaxle / transmission )
According to the 2001 Ford Windstar Owner Guide ( fuse # 21 ) is NOT USED in the fuse panel in the passenger compartment

Call an auto wrecker/used parts dealer. They have computer programs that will quickly and easily tell what years are interchangable. And if there are any stipulations. Its the easiest way by far.
