I've never seen it clearly, but from what we can see, it looks like an earlier model Omega Seamaster. It is not an Omega it is a Timex from the 1970s.
Yes, that does have truth in it. Roger Moore the Third Bond, After Sean Connery and George Lazenby, cannot wear a Tuxedo in the James Bond films. this is because before James Bond, Roger Moore was part of a detective program called 'Saint' and in his contract is said that only in Saint could he wear a Tuxedo, and so he never wears one in James Bond
