The Holographic Versitile Disc is capable of a 6TB (Six Terbyte) Capacity on a single CD-ROM sized disc. This is possible by the use of Multiple Lasers at Multiple Angles hence the name Holographic. Lower Capacity versions contain 500GB (Five Hundred Gigabytes) to 2TB (Two Terabytes) of information, which use a similar technique, but do not allow for high density data such as the 6TB model.
