Bats use their vocal tract to make ultrasonic sound the same way we use our vocal tract to make audible sound. They use these for a form of SONAR navigation allowing them to "see" in total darkness. Also many insect eating bats can focus their ultrasonic sound to use it to stun their prey.

To listen and hear the sounds in where they live.
Bats. They are blind and use echolocation to navigate when they are flying. They emit high pitched sounds humans ears are unable to hear. The sound frequency in a human voice is too low pitched for them to hear.
When the men fought, you could hear the clanking sounds of their swords.
Of course not. Everyone knows that bats use echolocation because that they can't see very well. So, they use these high pitched screeches that bounce off of objects and back to them. This tells them if there is and object nearby, how close it is, and how large or small it is.
Bats use echolocation to sense movement and their surroundings. We cannot hear the high pitched noise they emit because it is of a higher frequency than the human ear can register. There are some sounds of a bat that we can hear, but the sounds that we can't hear is because the squeaks are so high that you really need ultrasound to hear it.
