The liver breaks down a majority of the alcohol you consume (about 90-98%). The rest (about 2-10%) is excreted from the body in ways such as exhalation and urination. However, the it takes about 30-45 minutes for the liver to process and metabolize 1 standard drink of alcohol (12 oz. of beer or 5 ounces of wine).
The liver contains an enzyme called alcohol dehydrogenase which converts alcohol into acetaldehyde, which is then further broken down into acetic acid, then to water and CO2.
The Liver. Alcoholics often develop chirosis of the liver - a disease where the liver becomes so saturated with alcohol it gradually shuts down.

That organ is called the udder. It's located between her hind legs with four teats that the calf can latch on to--which ever teat he prefers--and get milk from through suckling. Milk is produced in the udder by drawing nutrients from the cow's bloodstream and synthesizing other compounds like casein and lactose. For calves that are newborn to two or three months of age, it's the most nutritious source for them to consume in order to grow.
The developing foetus gets everything it needs from the mother via the umbilical cord. That includes food and oxygen (which is dissolved in the mother's bloodstream). The umbilical cord performs a 'gas exchange' which removes waste gasses from the bloodstream of the foetus, and delivers fresh oxygen. The foetus doesn't need to breathe air to grow and survive. Once the baby is delivered, the placenta stops working, and the child take its first breath of air. From that moment, it's dependence on the mother's body stops.
The liver is the organ that breaks down chemicals in the blood. It removes toxins, and also drugs from the body so they can be taken out of the body by the kidneys and the bladder (pee). If you have elevated liver enzymes this means that the way in which the liver is breaking down the toxins and drugs is working faster than normal.
Locomotory organ of protista
No that would be wierd why would a dog be an organ system!
Yes, it removes toxins and waste from the bloodstream e.g. Alcohol.
The LUNGS
the kidneys remove waste from the bloodstream.
the kidneys
the kidneys remove waste from the bloodstream.
Lungs do not remove alcohol from your bloodstream. When you drink alcohol, your lungs exhale about 5% of alcohol which is why any consumption of alcohol can be picked up on breathalyzer tests.
The kidney removes wastes from the bloodstream. It acts like a filter. Honestly, I'm not an expert on removing organs, so I'm not sure if it can/can't be removed.
The body removes alcohol at the rate of about 1/3 ounce per hour: about 10 hours for three ounces. There is no way to speed it up.
It is not just an organ that removes cell wastes it is the action of masterbating
lungs .
Alcohol primarily travels in the bloodstream.
