Best Answer

Building up sugars from carbon dioxide and water is something almost only green plants can do. They have special cell organelles called chloroplasts for that.

Other than that, cyanobacteria can also do photosynthesis, but they're procaryotic and don't really have cell organelles.

Chloroplasts

[Chloroplasts are organelles found in plant cells and other eukaryotic organisms that conduct photosynthesis. Chloroplasts capture light energy to conserve free energy in the form of and reduce ATPNADP to NADPHthrough a complex set of processes called photosynthesis.

The word chloroplast is derived from the Greek words chloros, which means green, and plast, which means form or entity. Chloroplasts are members of a class of organelles known as plastids.]

The Mitochondria.

What are the difference cellular respiration and respiration?

Oxygen is the difference! Cellular respiration requires oxygen, while cellular fermentation does not.

Why is oxygen necessry for cellular respiration?

Yes, Oxygen is required for cellular respiration.

Why is external respiration vital to cellular respiration?

Cellular respiration need oxygen. This oxygen is supplied by external respiration

Why would glycolysis stop if neither fermentation or respiration functioned in the cell?

By there being no Oxygen during cellular respiration, then another process called Fermentation would occur which carries on with cellular respiration without oxygen molecules being present during the cycle, but the results of cellular respiration would still be the same.

What happens if an organism performs cellular respiration without oxygen?

Anaerobic respiration does not involve oxygen.

Cellular respiration involves the use of carbon dioxide or oxygen?

Cellular respiration uses oxygen.

What can cellular respiration be?

Cellular respiration can be anaerobic (without oxygen) or aerobic (occurs in the presence of oxygen).

Why is cellular respiration an aerobic respiration?

Because cellular respiration occurs in the presence of oxygen.

What limits us from doing cellular respiration?

A lack of oxygen can limit people from cellular respiration. As well as oxygen, food also limits cellular respiration.

What are the reactant in the equation for cellular respiration?

glucose and oxygen are the reactants of cellular respiration

How is cellular respiration different from anaerobic?

Cellular respiration involves oxygen. Anaerobic means an absence of oxygen.
