Lake Baikal is land locked lake not connected to other water bodies and most primitive hence it has different fauna .
Sears stopped selling firearms in 1988. Sears never made firearms, they contracted other gun companies to make guns for them under the Sears brand name.
Over and under shot guns are shotguns with 1 barrel on top of the other 12 Bore Man!!!
JC Higgins never made shotguns. That is a Sears model number. Shotguns were made by other companies using the Sears brand name- JC Higgins. Yours is likely a High Standard shotgun. If it has no serial number (most did not) it was made prior to 1968. Serial numbers were not required by law until then.
Sears did not. They had guns made by other companies for them, having them mark the guns with the Sears Brand. Known as "hardware" guns, the practice was used for the Sears JC Higgins brand, Montgomery Ward's Westernfield brand, Western Auto's Revelation brand, etc. Very common practice at one time. Guns were made by Savage, Marlin, Mossberg, Winchester, High Standard, Remington, etc.
Newport was a brand name used by Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co, Chicago (1882-1962) on shotguns made by Crescent Arms Co, J. Stevens Arms, Crescent-Davis, and probably other manufacturers.
Stevens used the Riverside name from about 1920-1945. It was a brand name used by Stevens for Montgomery Wards and other retailers. They still made some exposed hammer guns at least until 1940.
I have two listings for Mercury, both are now out of business. One imported shotguns manufactured in Spain. The other was a Belgian firm whose shotguns were imported by Tradewinds, Inc. of Tacoma, WA in the mid 1960s.
Generally no, but possibly.
Along with several other companies- yes.
One might recognize the two names Browning and Remington. They still make 16 gauge shotguns, as do a few other manufacturers.
