A very substantial majority of Italians are at least nominally Roman Catholic, although only about 30 percent of the population regularly attend church. Protestants also make up about 10 percent of the population. There is a Jewish community, and the Muslim community currently numbers about 1 million and is growing rapidly through Immigration. There is a small Buddhist community. These statistics assume that everyone in Italy has a religion. In fact, a significant minority of atheists tend to be included in the Christian totals.
There are different religions in Italy. The biggest religion in Italy is Catholicism. They also have Christian, Pentecostal, Evangelical, Assembly of God, Baptists, Seventh Day Adventists, and others.
Roman Catholics form the majority, although there are Protestants, Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, Scientologists, Muslims, Buddhists, Bahai's, Hindus, Waldensians, and even agnostics and atheists.
Well; theres the obvious one Christianity, but other than that there really isn't much else: more than 90% of the population is Christian. The next nearest (other than 'no religion') is Islam with around 1.9% - not even close. Italy, therefore, is dominated by a single religion.
It may seem a bit off topic, but if you ever wanted to see beautiful religious architecture; Italy is really spectacular - I went to the North-West, around Venice, and some of the various churches were absolutely amazing - I'd never seen anything like it. It was like each small town had its own cathedral
