Depending upon the ingredient and the dog, it may not take much salsa to induce a severe bleeding crisis or liver failure. However, if you make homemade salsa and you know there are no toxic-to-dogs ingredients in the salsa, have fun - it may give your dog some foul gas or diarrhea, but otherwise probably won't hurt him.
Here's one Homemade Sala. Its called Homemade Hot Salsa. The sauce contains two tablespoons mild jalapeno green salsa, a tablespoon of garlic salt, a cup of stewed tomatoes, an onion, a celery stalk, a cup of whole tomatoes and two green peppers.
