It has both an up and a down stream oxygen sensor.
The lambda sensor reads the oxygen in the exhaust stream.
it is the upper stream o2 sensor before the convertor
The down stream oxygen sensor is screwed into the exhaust pipe behind the catalytic converter.
I don't know were it is located, but I do know there are 2 of them. An up stream & a down stream. I need to know were both of them are located, for I have a 99 Saturn SL2 DOHC

oxygen sensors are on the exhaust pipe close to the engine. Some are on the exhaust manifold. some may have an upstream and a down stream sensor.
Usually after your catalytic converter. Usually after your catalytic converter.
there are two oxygen sensors. The sensors runs between 90-110 for OEM fit, the wire harness can pre-fab/wired. It is a safer bet for repairs. Deducting $200/tax for oxygen sensors (up and down stream) or with the mark up, it leaves $100.00 for labor/or $120 without markup The down stream sensor seems to easier to replace than the up stream sensor if you have a lift. The total time to do it on your own is about 1 and 1/2 hours, or 2 1/2 hours (slowly).
The upstream oxygen sensor is the one before the catalytic converter. It will require a special socket to remove and replace it. jd
Bank 1 is the part of the exhaust stream that includes cylinder #1. Sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter.
2 one in exhaust stream and one after converter! one upstream and one down stream ,doen stream oxygen sensor is in exhaust pipe after the converter. upstream sensor is ahead of converter.
