1 Open the Volvo's passenger door and remove the triangular cover that hides the mounting nuts for the mirror. The cover is located inside the door where the mirror attaches to the outside. The cover press-fits into the door frame. Pull on it to remove it. 2 Hold the mirror in place and remove the three nuts located behind the cover with a long-well socket and ratchet. 3 Pull the mirror away from the door. The mirror has three threaded bolts inserted into the side that stick through the door. Be careful not to scratch the door with the bolts as you remove the mirror. 4 Mount the new mirror against the door while seating the bolts through the door into the inside. 5 Secure the mirror to the door with the three nuts, long-well socket and ratchet. 6 Press the cover back onto the Volvo's door frame.

Just yesterday I replaced the door check on my 07 Eclipse GT: Buy the replacement part (~$35 at the dealer) Tools needed: 10mm socket (w/ 6" extension - a plus), 10mm open-end or box wrench, phillips screwdriver Detach door check end from body frame Remove door panel from door frame, disconnect wire connector from switches Remove speaker from door frame Put arm in speaker hole and hold onto door check, do not allow loose parts (if any) to fall into bottom of door, near-impossible to retrieve. Unbolt door check from door frame, remove from door. Install in reverse order. Recommend not to do final tightening of all door check bolts until both ends have been bolted into position, then tighten the four bolts but do not over-tighten as the threads easily strip.
