A Pattern of properties appeared when he arranged the elements in order of increasing Atomic Mass
Mendeleev arranged the elements are arranged in order of increasing atomic masses. He founded that properties of elements are periodic when arranged in this pattern.
mendeleev arranged elements according to atomic mass. He was able to observe periodicity when arranged in this pattern.
something to do with protons and stuff.
Mendleef arranged the elements in the increasing order of their atomic masses due to which elements having same properties were placed in the same group and there were few exceptions.
Dmitri Mendeleev arranged the elements by increasing atomic mass and similar chemical properties. He left gaps for undiscovered elements and predicted their properties based on the pattern he observed, leading to the development of the periodic table.
In 1869, a Russian scientist named Dmitri Mendeleev arranged the elements in a table according to their atomic mass, this was the first periodic table. However, a few elements didn't fit the pattern in Mendeleev's table, so a new table had to be made, and that table is today's periodic table which is arranged by atomic number, and not atomic mass.
Dmitri Mendeleev is credited with arranging the elements in the periodic table according to increasing weight. He also left gaps for undiscovered elements and predicted their properties, leading to the development of the modern periodic table.
This is a very wordy response, but by setting up the Periodic Table according to elements' properties and characteristics, he was able to predict any given elements' properties because, with the way the Periodic Table is arranged, all of the elements surrounding any specific element would have similar properties to the element that they surrounded. For example, at the time there was no element known as Aluminum, but given the properties of the elements around that area (Group 13), he was able to correctly predict Aluminum's properties. When aluminum was discovered, Mendeleev's predictions were extremely close to the actual element's properties.
The Nelson Science Textbook of Grade 9 for Ontario states that Mendeleev's periodic table on pages 126-127 includes elements arranged by increasing atomic mass and grouped with similar properties. Mendeleev left gaps for undiscovered elements and predicted the properties of these missing elements based on the pattern of the known elements.
a pattern of properties between the elementseven though I am dumbI am gay
Mendeleev of course only made use of existing information, merely arranged it a two-dimensional form. # Relationships between the chemical and physical properties of families of elements # Holes in the table where as yet undiscovered elements were to be found. He found that the properties of an element were periodic and showed a pattern. Based on this observation, he devised the table in such a way so as to arrange elements with similar chemical properties in columns forming groups.
