Rainbow sharks are not sharks at all. They can live with just about any other small to medium sized species that need similar water parameters. Most Tetras, Rasboras, Danios, are schooling fish. Corydoras and heaps of others are OK too.
Rainbow Sharks Are Semi-Aggressive. They need to be the only "Shark" in the tank and tankmates need to be of equal size, and can include: Barbs, Danios, Plecos, Loaches, Gouramis, Rainbowfish and South American Cichlids.

At over 18 inches Oscars can get large enough to eat a fully grown Red Tailed Black Shark (Rainbow). I would not consider it. Ther is no such thing as an Oscar that will not eat a smaller fish when it is hungry.
Rainbow and red tail sharks are good for 20 gallons
It would be a crowded tank. Depending on type of shark (bala, red tail, rainbow, etc.) would depict the amount of time it would work. However no type would be very long lasted.
The Rainbow Warrior got its name from a book by William Stevenson, which was inspired by a Cree prophecy about a group known as the Rainbow Warriors who would save the Earth. Greenpeace adopted the name for its new vessel in 1978 to symbolize environmental activism and peaceful warrior spirit.
the shark would win unless its a large jelly species.
It would depend on the species of shark. If it was a baby shark that only ate small crabs and shrimps, the eel. If it was a great white shark then the shark.
