DNA analysis enables law enforcement to place offenders at the scene of a crime (or eliminate suspects that are innocent), can lead to crimes that were previously not solveable to be solved, and can determine the paternity of children. It can also determine genetic diseases and possibly lead to cures for those diseases.
It has an effect on the environment because crimes are in the environment so
that is correct, but the percentage of monkey DNA would be preciscely 99.37 percent, and jesuses DNA would take the form of a killer whale and fly graciously into the sky singing show tunes

Forensic scientists contribute to solving a significant number of crimes each year through analysis of physical evidence such as DNA, fingerprints, and trace evidence. However, the exact number of crimes solved by forensic scientists can vary depending on factors such as the availability of evidence, the quality of the evidence, and the resources allocated to forensic analysis in each jurisdiction.

Over 6,000 cases in the United States are unsolved due to the lack of police; too many cases to handle and a back-up of DNA Identification, etc. Also because there are more gang related murders the rate of unsolved cases is rising dramatically. In a survery there are 35 percent of solved homicides in Chicago; 22 percent in New Orleans and 21 percent in Detroit. 75 percent of the killings in Philadelphia and 92 percent in Denver along with 94 percent in San Diago. Many States have failed to solve murder cases and the average for solving crimes in other States is approximately 35%. The main reason ... lack of money and police officers along with over loaded courts.
