"According to the documentary Jesus Camp, 75% of all home schooled children are Evangelical Christians." While I can't verify this statistic, I have experience and insight into this. The evangelicals and some other Christians want to prevent their kids from learning that wacky 'science" out there. They want to re-write history and science, and fill their kids' heads with Propaganda and evangelizing.
This is dangerous, and unsound. They leave their kids unprepared to face the real world, and present a twisted version of the world to suit a religious agenda. So shameful really. It's the kind of thing done in religious extremist communities and repressed closed societies all over the world.
So much evil is done in the name of religion. Lying to and restricting the knowledge of one's children is decidedly evil.
