How does a U.S. citizen get dual citizenship if you were born in the U.S. and your mother is a Mexican citizen?
Mexico does not recognize dual citizenship. Actually I read this: "If you are an American because you were born in the USA, but have at least one parent who is a Mexican(or has both citizenships) you are also a Mexican citizen no matter what. If that is your case, the Mexican government (their… consulate or embassy) would issue a document, card or passport stateting that you are also a Mexican citizen." on http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_are_the_requirements_for_an_American_to_hold_dual_citizenship_in_the_US_and_Mexico And this: "The dual citizenship process, which is free and takes an average of two weeks, was implemented in 1997, when the Mexican government agreed for the first time in its history to allow its citizens to have dual citizenship." on http://news.newamericamedia.org/news/view_article.HTML?article_id=ada6aa80ae0647bc7de7549b9ae8ccf5 NEITHER OF THESE 3 ANSWERS ARE CORRECT. My father gets Mexican Nationality every week economicaaly and in about a week for children born in the USA to a Mexican parent. You can contact him in Lagos de Moreno, Jaliosco. Marrying a U.S. citizen and having children resulting from the marriage DOES NOT automatically award citizenship or permanent resident status to an alien, especially one who is deemed to be in the U.S. illegally. The non-citizen must follow the prescribed procedures as required by federal law throug…h USCIS. The children ARE citizens if they were born in the United States OR if one of the parent is a U.S. citizen (not just a Resident, but a Citizen). Once a citizen child reaches 21, they can then act as a sponsor for their parent to obtain Legal Residency. However, note that it is not possible to have an illegal alien obtain legal residency unless they leave the country first - that is, you can't come to the U.S. illegally, then have someone sponsor you to stay. You must leave the country, have someone sponsor you, then re-enter on a valid visa.] Personal Experience My husband and I have been married for six years and we have two kids, the oldest is five, and my husband is still not legal. I've told immigration just how important it is that he get his papers because of this and they said it doesn't matter how many kids he has, yada yada. They are culeros. If the guy only has children that are US citizens, and no one else, he probably will have to wait for them to grow up and petition for him. ( Full Answer )

Answer . Ask them. Either a US birth certificate or a US passport will prove their citizenship status. Answer . There is no way of finding out who is a citizen and who is not through some database. Documaents such as a US passport or birth certificate can be forged. If the person was born in the …United States, then county records will verify whether or not a person was born in that county. Some counties can have this information viewed publilcly, some will not. If the US Citizen was naturalized, the only way of finding out is with USCIS records. These records are supposed to be obtained only by the person naturalized or by the original petitioner if there was an immigrant visa given back in the days as a non-citizen; a FOIA request can be made to get that info. Of course there's always means to obtain information if you know the right people, but I'm sticking with the most ethical means. Answer . Basically, there are 3 types of document for US citizenship: . 1) U.S. citizen's Birth Certificate . 2) Certificate of Naturalization, . 3) Certificate of Citizenship . If no above document, USCIS said that you can use: A) Church record, B) School record; C) Census record. D) Affidavits . Answer. . If you are an employer and want to know their status you can check them thru the E-Verify system. . answer . ASKING DIRECTLY AND HONESTLY TO THE PERSON. ( Full Answer )
I'm not sure what answer you are looking for, but I can tell you what I have been through, so far. First of all, the papers process is a long one, and when you get almost done, you get a paper from them that says prove to us that you can support your entire household on just your income, that is 125…% of the poverty guideline for the amount of people in your household. The illegal spouse is not allowed to work, so you have to prove that your family is not going to be a drain on the economy. Then, if you want to buy a house, car, or anything else on credit, you have to prove that your income is enough because no one will count his, at least mine because he earns cash, not checks, pays no taxes, etc, etc. Then there are more milestones. I cannot conceive, and we want a child so bad. Guess what? I cannot adopt or foster a child because I am married to an illegal alien. What's next? I don't know, but I'll be glad to add on whenever something else comes up. I can say that love is love, and if he or she is the ONE, then don't think about the set backs, go with your heart. It is the system I am upset with, and the fact that I was not told I was going to be losing rights when I married him. I would do it again though, because he is worth all of it. when you find a truly good one, hang on, even if the rope's on fire. Hope this helped. Katherine Answer It depends of what kind of "illegal" he or she is. If the alien entered without inspection, then no luck. The law says that you can not get a greencard if you entered illegaly. But if the alien entered with a valid visa and after a proper inspection, and then over-stayed, that kind of "illegal" is no problem. Also having worked without government approval is no problem too. As soon as the alien gets married to a US citizen, the alien can apply for a greencard. Of course, there has to be no other illegal activities such as crimes or helping illegal alien trafficking. If you are savy with paper work, you can do it on your own. But it is always a good idea to hire an immigration attorney for these things. At least call around for free consulations. Some would offer 30 minute free consultations, some would charge $50-$100 for half an hour consultation. Go talk to some, you will get an idea what to do about it. ( Full Answer )

Jewish ghettos originated long ago, as early as the 1400's. Generally, Europeans were Christian and anti-Semitic, so the Jews lived in their own communities/ghettos as a result of discrimination and for their safety. During World War II, the Nazis took the Jews from their homes and placed them in gh…ettos, the most famous of which being the Warsaw ghetto, in Poland. The Jews were told to appoint leaders of the community. Many leaders of the various ghettos refused to give Nazis lists when they learned these lists were being used to send Jews to death camps. While living in ghettos, the Jews were isolated and often had limited resources (though items were smuggled). ( Full Answer )

On July 25, 1898, during the Spanish-American War, Puerto Rico was invaded by the United States. As an outcome of the war, Spain ceded Puerto Rico (along with Cuba, the Philippines, and Guam). From that point on, although Puerto Rico was an US colony, Puerto Ricans were not considered citizens of th…e United States. Because Puerto Ricans were classified as aliens they were ineligible for the draft. The United States entered WWI in 1917 and needed all the man power they could use. On March 2, 1917 the Jones-Shafroth Act was signed granting the US citizenship to all citizens of Puerto Rico.
